The Turbographx 16 was an early contender in the 16 bit wars, thought it wasn't truly 16 bit (16 bit graphics 8 bit CPU), and quickly gave in to Sega and Nintendo. I actually considered buying one of these, but I got a genesis instead (thank god). The games are pretty good, (Bonk's Adventure comes to mind), but the system wasnt supported for very long, and was never really worth buying.

Just days after the first Atari Lynx EMU, David Michel has released Magic Engine, the first TurboGraphx 16 emulator. This new version is really the same code, but Dave has made it possible to play for 15 minutes with no sound. This is a bit better perhaps, but if you want to hear the sound, (and not be able to play anything) get version .7. This is one EMU that is actually worth registering. The sound is great, speed is great, games for TG16 are great (some of them). This is perhaps the most polished EMU for any system. NESticle is close.

VPCE is a new TG-16 emulator for DOS. It still has yuite a way to go before it is as good as M-Engine, but it certainly has potential..
