The Atari Lynx was a system which was around during the 16 bit wars. It was a simpler, yet portable gaming system, the first color portable. Now, Brian Hunter has created an emulator for this system. It is still in it's early stages, but it does play some games including a homebrewn Lode Runner game which he distributing on his web site. The emulator, called MetaLynx, is the first of it's kind, and It may be one of very few, because the Lynx was never a particularly popular system. I wish the author well, and hope that the EMU progresses as planned.

This was the first Lynx EMU. It is supposed to run some demos and will handle commercial ROMs soon. For all 10 of you Lynx fans out there, you're in heaven now!

Handy is another Lynx EMU. I have not tried either EMU, but Handy supposedly plays about 85% of Lynx ROMs, and has almost doubled in speed since the last release.
