When I am fighting Lassiec in the Air Castle, after 5-10 rounds, the emulator freezes. When I had this problem before, I just had to save my state and then restore it when it froze. But it doesn't work against Lassiec !!! Help !!!

okay i'm playing Landstalker, and i know it's old, but i am super stuck in the lake shrine.i have gotten to the golden (third set) of rotating golems, and the rooms surrounding them. i need a key for the room with spikes on most of the floor, the locked wooden door, the button which opens another door, and stairs going down at the top right. it might just be that i am missing something obvious, but if ANYBODY out there knows what i'm rambling on about, or can help me, please respond.
